But for some reason it seems we have\r\ntaken this kind of data for granted \u2013 just a fact of life we prefer to turn\r\naway from. But when you really spend some time thinking about the meaning of\r\nthese figures, you see their true horror. So how can we all keep safer on the roads\r\nin the future?<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Safety is Paramount in the UK<\/strong><\/h2>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>We\r\ncontinue to make our roads as safe as possible. This matter is being taken up: future expansion of smart motorways\r\nis on hold while the government looks at ways to increase the amount of\r\nstopping areas available. So, the safety of our roads is always paramount. But\r\nas much as we can adapt technical problems, accidents arising from human error\r\nwill always be an issue.
