Brexit has also added to these changes and overall, in the 21<sup>st<\/sup> century the internet is becoming a cheaper and more accessible place to do business than physical shopfronts.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Changes In How Courier Services Work<\/strong><\/h2>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>As well as\r\ndigital resources becoming more effective for the end user, they have also\r\nbecome essential for courier services during the pandemic. Courier services\r\nhave had to not only adapt to the new ways of buying, but also provide their\r\nservices in such a way that consumers feel safe from the virus. In a way this\r\nhas been good for the industry, as new methods of working have streamlined the\r\noverall service for the future.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Statistics Show A Greater Reliance On Digital Tech<\/strong><\/h2>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>Statistics\r\nprovided by European based company Webfleet Solutions show that since the\r\nbeginning of the pandemic, 74% of UK courier fleets have taken on new digital\r\nsolutions. These innovative technologies are both to enhance new ways of\r\nworking and to provide safety.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>Three of the\r\nmost popular digital solutions are:<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Apps for capturing consumers\r\nsignatures electronically. These technologies allow consignments to be\r\ndelivered without excess contact.<\/li><li>Mobile apps to aid supply chain\r\nprocesses<\/li><li>Paperless invoicing. This is where\r\nthe invoice is received by the consumer via text or email. This way there is no\r\nneed for excess contact at point of delivery and also streamlines the overall\r\ndelivery process.<\/li><\/ul>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Uptake Acceleration<\/h2>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>Of course,\r\nall of these processes have been with us a long time and as technology has\r\nadvanced, businesses within the industry have taken them on as useful to the\r\nservice.
